ABOUT
Maya M. began her career in media in 2021 as an MMJ News Reporter with WTOL 11, but her passion for storytelling started long before that.
From 2017 to 2020, Maya studied media and journalism at the University of Southern California, where she discovered the power of storytelling. She found that stories inform, connect, uplift, and inspire communities.
When the COVID-19 pandemic reshaped the world, Maya made the deeply personal decision to return home and complete her degree at the University of Toledo.
”That choice grounded me in the community that raised me and strengthened my commitment to serving. I joined WTOL 11, to tell the stories of the very people and neighborhoods that shaped who I am.” - Maya
Today, Maya brings that same heart and purpose to her role as Director of Partnerships at Charles Boyk Law Offices. She leads strategic outreach and relationship development efforts that don’t just drive measurable growth, they build meaningful, lasting impact.
”I see partnerships as more than transactions, they are opportunities to align missions, amplify voices, and create something bigger than ourselves.” - Maya
